Rabbit Hole
Seneca Community Players receives two awards for "Rabbit Hole"

Seneca Community Players production of "Rabbit Hole" received two Roving Adjudicator Merit Awards from the Theater Association of New York State (TANYS).

Laura Feligno was awarded "Outstanding Acting" for her portrayal Becca Corbett and the entire cast received "Meritorious Achievement in Ensemble Acting."

Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, David Lindsay-Abaire's "Rabbit Hole" is an intensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion and searing honesty. A story of loss, heartbreak and forgiveness, as a family moves on after the accidental death of their four-year-old, it is a perceptive and poignant study in the day-to-day aches of bereavement: problems with personal intimacy, the uneasy friends who don't call, and the emptiness in a house packed with reminders.

Paul Nelson, the adjudicator applauded SCP for bringing "Rabbit Hole" to the stage. "The company took on the challenge of a beautifully wriiten but complex play and made it appear effortless. Their production was engaging and thought provoking."

"Rabbit Hole" was staged at the Main Street School auditorium in Waterloo, October 14,15, & 16 and 21 & 22.

The mission of TANYS is "to foster the contribution of theatre to the lives of the citizens of New York State, to promote high standards of theatre practice through education and example and to encourage exchanges of information and knowledge through people-to-people and theatre-to-theatre exchanges.

Original Press release

Seneca Community Players announces the cast for its upcoming production of "Rabbit Hole," David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play. "Rabbit Hole" is a vivid, hopeful, honest, and unexpectedly witty portrait of a family searching for what remains possible in the most impossible of situations.
