The Seneca Community
Players are pleased to announce that their first show of the season,
Noel Coward’s “Blithe Spirit”, has been cast and is in production.
This beloved comedy centers around Novelist Charles Condomine
(Eric Jensen ) who invites the eccentric medium, Madame Arcati (Gloria
Serling), to his house to conduct a seance, hoping to gather material
for his next book. Instead
the seance brings to life the spirit of his first (and very late) wife,
Elvira (Missy Witchey). This
puts a strain on Charles' marriage to his current wife, Ruth (Wendy
Varricchio-Fletcher), as neither wife wants to share home or hubby.
When Charles starts to enjoy his 'astral bigamy', the wives
scheme to get rid of each other. The remainder of the
cast is as follows: Edith
– Kitty Peerson, Dr. Bradman – Dorothy Champlin and Miss Bradman –
Christy Windhausen. The show
is being directed by SCP’s newest director, Jason C. Parker, who is
being mentored by veteran director Becky Bly.
The Stage Manager is Bobby-Jo Bly-Owens with technical direction
by Dan Papperman. Props
Mistress is Jane Roberts while Lynn Patti is the scenic artist.
Publicity is being handled by Pam Bryan assisted by Kevin
Schoonover. The production dates
are April 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24 at 8:00 PM and Sunday, April 18 at 2:00
